The Rain Sensor is a smart and efficient solution to conserve water, particularly in areas with watering restrictions. It automatically shuts down the water timer when it rains, preventing unnecessary water wastage. When the rain water on the ground reaches 15.7 ounces per square foot, the Rain Sensor's internal float rises, triggering a signal to stop all watering programs after the current one is completed. Once the rain water has evaporated, the timer programs are automatically resumed, even if the evaporation occurs during a scheduled watering cycle.

The Rain Sensor is extremely easy to install. Simply remove the jumper from inside the water timer and insert the 6-foot sensor cable. If needed, additional cable of the same or larger diameter can be added, up to a maximum length of 65 feet. The device comes with a stainless steel wall bracket and screws, allowing it to be mounted in a clear area free from plant life, foliage, and undergrowth.

The Rain Sensor is compatible with Claber models Duplo Evolution (8420), Tempo Select (8486), and Dual Select (8488). It is 100% quality controlled during the manufacturing process and made in Italy. To ensure optimal performance, it should not be exposed to temperatures below 37.4°F or higher than 122°F.

In addition to its efficient water-saving capabilities, the Rain Sensor features a special design cover to prevent small animals from resting on the sensor, further enhancing its reliability and effectiveness.
