Refined and Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor Module for Arduino Gardening and Watering
Category: rainpoint soil sensor
Operating Voltage: DC 3.3-5.5V; Output Voltage: DC 0-3.0V; Interface: PH2.54-3P.
By connecting the analog output (AOUT) of the module to one analog input (A0) of the Arduino, it is possible to read the real-time moisture content in the soil, which can be used to determine whether the soil is wet or dry.
This sensor is compatible with a 3-pin interface and can be directly connected to the Gravity I/O expansion shield. The pins are labeled as Analog signal output, GND, and VCC.
The sensor employs the principle of capacitive sensing to detect soil moisture. It is made of a corrosion-resistant material, which helps to avoid the problem of easy corrosion and significantly extends its working life.
Applications: - Automatic watering of vegetable gardens, gardens, and control of flower pot soil moisture through simple design - Electronic competitions and Arduino Raspberry Pi design, among others.
