Avoid touching the stone or hard rock soil, as the sensor may get damaged if the soil is too hard and dry. Designed to measure soil moisture only, it is recommended to fully insert the sensor into the soil and leave it there for 2-3 minutes to obtain accurate readings.

The ECOWITT WH51 is a soil moisture sensor and cannot directly display the soil moisture readout or connect to a mobile phone. To use it, you will need to separately purchase an ECOWITT GW1100/GW1200/GW2000 Wi-Fi gateway or other compatible console display, such as WS3800/WS3900/WN1980/HP3500/HP2551/WN1820/WH0291.
